Display & Cake Caring

Q. How long does buttercream cake last in the party?

A. Buttercream cake can stay indoor at room temperature with air condition for about 3 hours. If you decide to put the cake outdoor, it can stay in good shape for less than 2 hours. Of course it depends on the weather. If it's hot and humid, we don't recommend you to display the cake outdoor for an extended period.

Q. What if the party is outdoor?

A. The cake should be protected with a shade or under a canopy. After all, it's butter and cream.

Q. What is the best way to enjoy the cake?

A. Buttercream cake tastes the best at room temperature but whipped cream cake is good right out of the refrigerator.

Q. How to keep the cake?

A. Always keep it in the refrigerator if you decide to consume it the next day. We recommend you to finish whipped cream cake the day you receive it.  If there is leftover buttercream cake after the party, you may keep it in an air tight container and put it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or up to 10 days in the freezer. Take it out and bring it back to room temperature before consuming it for the best tasting experience.

Q. Can you put fresh flowers on the cake?

A. Not all flowers are edible. Even edible flower species may not be good for human consumption. Harmful chemicals may have been used during the production process if the plants are intended for display only.

We provide safe, chemicals free, edible fresh flowers and plants for decorations. During different seasons we have a selection of Viola, Pink Rose, Nasturtium, Rosemary, Spearmint, Oregano, English Lavender.

For fresh flowers, the display life is only good for less than one day after they were put on the cake. We recommend you to let us know the exact time of your party so we will put the flowers on the cake fresh from the garden right before delivering the cake to you.

Dried flower is another option if you need a longer display life. We do dried press our flowers and keep a small amount of stock.

Please contact us to enquire availability and price.

Q. How long is wafer paper flower good for?

A. Wafer paper is good for a long time. If you put it in room temperature it can stay in good shape for weeks, even months. I personally have a bouquet of wafer paper flowers on top of the cabinet as decoration for over 18 months. It still looks very pretty. The main concern is it can't get wet. So don't splash water on it.

Q. Fondant Display

A. Sorry, fondant display is not available at this moment but you can provide it to us.

Q. Cake Toppers

A. Some materials may not be safe to be put on the cake, (eg. small parts with choking hazard, harmful chemicals, sharp objects, etc). You may send the topper to us and we will help you put on the cake. Always discuss with us.

Design & Servings

Q. Can I provide a photo and you make an exact copy?

A. We respect other cake artists' profession in creating every unique piece and we pride ourselves as a true artist. You may send us photos as reference then we can discuss a new design based on the particular style you like.

Q. Can you use movie characters on the cake?

A. No. It is due to copyright concern.

Q. Besides the center piece wedding cake, what other options do I have?

A. We provide cupcake, cake box, and cake jar for guests to enjoy at the venue or as gifts to take home. We can even match them with the wedding cake using the same color tone and style.
